An Unspoilt High-Altitude Meadow with Stunning Himalayan Views and Wildflowers
Rohini Bugyal is a beautiful alpine meadow (bugyal) near Chopta in Rudraprayag district, situated at around 3500 metres. "Bugyal" means high-altitude meadow in Garhwali, and Rohini Bugyal is one of the lesser-known but equally stunning bugyals in the region. The meadow is carpeted with wildflowers in summer and offers panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges.
Rohini Bugyal is visited as part of the Chopta–Tungnath trekking circuit and is less crowded than the main Tungnath trek. The gentle rolling meadows with snow-covered peaks as a backdrop are ideal for camping, photography and nature walks. The area is rich in wildlife and bird life. It is an excellent off-beat destination for trekkers looking to avoid the tourist crowds at Chopta.
