As dedicated tour operators in Haryana, Tour Venture India unlocks a state that most travellers overlook on their way to Rajasthan or Himachal Pradesh — yet Haryana holds some of North India's most profound spiritual, historical and natural treasures. Haryana tour packages from Tour Venture India take you to Kurukshetra — where the 18-day Mahabharata war was fought between the Pandavas and Kauravas, and where Lord Krishna delivered the immortal Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Jyotisar. This is not just travel — it is a journey into the foundational narrative of Indian civilisation.
Kurukshetra's Brahma Sarovar, covering 3,600 metres in length and 1,500 metres in width, is the largest sacred tank in India. Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims come here during solar eclipses (Surya Grahan), believing a holy dip in its waters grants moksha (liberation). Sthaneshwar Mahadev Temple — where the Pandavas are said to have prayed before the battle — dates back to ancient times and is one of the 48 kos (sacred radius) of Kurukshetra. Sheikh Chilli's Tomb, built in Mughal architectural style for the Sufi saint Abdur Rahim Abdul Karim (Sheikh Chilli), and the Kurukshetra Panorama and Science Centre with its dramatic 360° diorama of the Mahabharata war complete the experience.
Panipat, just 90 km from Delhi, is where three battles changed the course of Indian history — Babur's victory over Ibrahim Lodi in 1526 created the Mughal Empire; Akbar's general Bairam Khan's win in 1556 secured it; and Ahmad Shah Abdali's 1761 defeat of the Marathas ended their northern ambitions. Panipat Museum is one of the finest historical museums in North India. Sultanpur National Park near Gurgaon — a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance — hosts over 250 bird species including the critically endangered Siberian Crane (October–March). Morni Hills, Haryana's only hill station at 1,220 m in the Shivalik range, offers twin lakes, trekking and jungle wildlife. Pinjore's Yadavindra Gardens — Mughal-era terraced gardens modelled on Shalimar Bagh — are a hidden gem near Chandigarh.
Haryana is also the land of India's agricultural heartland — the Golden Haryana that feeds the nation — and the birthplace of Vedic civilisation. Rakhigarhi in Hisar district is the world's largest known Harappan civilisation site (older than Mohenjo-daro), currently under intensive archaeological excavation. The Surajkund International Crafts Mela (February) is Asia's largest folk art fair. Our Haryana tour packages connect all these dimensions — spiritual pilgrimage, history, wildlife and cultural heritage — with comfortable accommodation, expert guides and fully arranged transport from Delhi, Chandigarh or your starting point.
Mahabharata battlefield, Brahma Sarovar sacred tank, Jyotisar Bhagavad Gita birthplace, Sthaneshwar Mahadev — India's most profound spiritual circuit.
Three decisive battles (1526, 1556, 1761) that shaped India's history — Kala Amb memorial, Ibrahim Lodi Tomb, Panipat Museum and Devi Temple.
Ramsar wetland hosting 250+ bird species — Siberian Crane, flamingo, painted stork, demoiselle crane — one of North India's finest birding destinations.
Haryana's only hill station at 1,220 m — Tikkar Taal twin lakes, Morni Fort trekking, leopard spotting, camping and a refreshing Shivalik forest escape.
Mughal-era Yadavindra Gardens — seven terraced levels with fountains, rose gardens, Japanese Garden and the heritage Shish Mahal Palace.
Asia's largest folk and crafts fair (February) — 600+ artisans from 40+ countries, folk dance, music, handloom shopping and regional food courts.
World's largest known Harappan Civilisation site in Hisar district — older than Mohenjo-daro, under active excavation revealing 5,000-year-old urban planning.

Peak season for all Haryana travel. October–November: migratory birds arrive at Sultanpur including Siberian Cranes. November–February: pleasant 8–22°C weather perfect for Kurukshetra pilgrimage and Panipat sightseeing. February: Surajkund International Crafts Mela (15 days) — book accommodation well in advance. Gita Jayanti festival at Kurukshetra (November–December) draws lakhs of pilgrims.
March is comfortable (20–30°C) — ideal for Morni Hills trekking and Pinjore Gardens when roses are in bloom. Holi celebrations (February–March) at Kurukshetra and across Haryana villages are vibrant. April temperatures start rising rapidly — complete visits before mid-April. Wheat harvest (April) in Haryana villages offers a glimpse of rural Punjab–Haryana agricultural heritage.
May–June sees extreme heat (45°C+) in Haryana plains — avoid Kurukshetra and Panipat during this period. Morni Hills (1,220 m) remains a cool summer option (25–30°C). Monsoon (July–September) brings relief and green landscapes but Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary trails can be muddy. If visiting only for Morni Hills, July–August is pleasant and less crowded. Resident bird populations are highest in the monsoon.
