As leading tour operators in Himachal Pradesh, Tour Venture India brings you closer to one of India's most beloved Himalayan states. Our Himachal Pradesh tour packages span the full spectrum of what this mountain paradise offers — from the colonial elegance of Shimla's Mall Road and the adventure-soaked streets of Manali to the mystical cold desert of Spiti Valley, the Tibetan spiritual haven of Dharamshala and the lush apple orchards of Kullu. Himachal Pradesh (Dev Bhoomi — Land of Gods) lives up to its divine name at every turn.
Shimla, the Queen of Hills at 2,206 m, was the summer capital of British India and remains the state's most beloved destination — Christ Church (1857), the Ridge, Jakhu Temple (Lord Hanuman, 2,455 m), the Mall Road's Victorian architecture and the narrow-gauge Kalka–Shimla Railway (UNESCO World Heritage) that winds through 102 tunnels and 864 bridges from the plains. Manali, the adventure capital of Himachal, combines the spiritual (Hadimba Devi Temple in a 1,000-year-old deodar forest, Vashisht hot springs) with the thrilling — Rohtang Pass (3,978 m), Solang Valley paragliding and skiing, Beas River rafting and the legendary Manali–Leh highway through the world's highest motorable roads.
Dharamshala's McLeod Ganj is the residence of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and the seat of the Tibetan government-in-exile — making it a unique destination that blends Tibetan Buddhism, Kangra Pahari art, colonial British hill station architecture and the spectacular Dhauladhar mountain range backdrop. The Triund trek (2,875 m) above McLeod Ganj offers some of the most accessible yet breathtaking Himalayan panoramas in India. Spiti Valley, the cold desert at 3,800–4,500 m, is Himachal's most dramatic landscape — a moonscape of ochre mountains, ancient Buddhist monasteries (Key, Tabo — 1,000 years old, Dhankar perched on a cliff) and villages like Langza (fossil village) and Hikkim (world's highest post office).
Dalhousie's Khajjiar meadow — officially recognised as the Mini Switzerland of India in 1992 — is a circular green expanse at 1,920 m surrounded by deodar forests with a small lake at the centre. The Parvati Valley at Kasol, Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara (holy hot springs sacred to Sikhs and Hindus), Kheerganga hot spring trek, Tosh and Chalal are the preferred destinations for trekkers and backpackers from across the world. Great Himalayan National Park (Kullu, UNESCO World Heritage) protects the western Himalayan ecosystem with snow leopard, brown bear, western tragopan and over 375 animal species.
Colonial summer capital — Mall Road, Christ Church, Jakhu Temple, Kufri snow point and UNESCO Kalka–Shimla toy train through 102 tunnels.
Adventure capital — Rohtang Pass, Solang Valley paragliding and skiing, Beas rafting, Hadimba temple and Manali–Leh highway world's highest roads.
Dalai Lama's residence, Tibetan culture, Namgyal Monastery, Triund trek, Bhagsu Falls and Dharamshala Cricket Stadium — world's highest Test venue.
Moonscape at 3,800–4,500 m — Key Monastery, Chandratal Lake, Tabo (1,000-yr-old monastery), Langza fossil village and Hikkim world's highest post office.
Circular deodar-ringed meadow at 1,920 m near Dalhousie, officially recognised as India's Switzerland in 1992 — paragliding, horse riding and forest walks.
Kasol, Kheerganga hot spring trek, Manikaran Sahib, Tosh village and Pin Parvati Pass — backpacker paradise and Himalayan trekking hub.
Jwala Ji eternal flame, Naina Devi and Chintpurni Shakti Peethas, Manikaran sacred hot springs, Bajreshwari Mata and Triloknath in Lahaul.
UNESCO World Heritage park in Kullu — snow leopard, Himalayan brown bear, western tragopan, blue sheep across alpine meadows and glaciers.
Best for Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Kasol and Kullu — pleasant (10–25°C), Rohtang Pass open (May–June), all adventure activities available. Peak tourist season — book accommodation 2–3 months ahead. Apple blossom season (March–April) in Kullu and Shimla orchards is a spectacular sight.
December–February brings snowfall to Shimla, Kufri, Manali and Solang Valley — ideal for snow experiences and skiing. Shimla turns white from December. Spiti is cut off in winter. Kullu Dussehra (October) is Himachal's biggest festival — attend when 200 temple deities gather in Kullu. Fewer crowds than peak summer.
June–September is the ONLY time Spiti Valley is accessible from Manali (Rohtang–Kunzum route). Monsoon brings lush greenery to Parvati Valley and Kangra. Lower Himachal (Shimla, Dharamshala) gets rain — roads can be affected. Spiti circuit (Manali–Kaza–Shimla loop) is only possible June–October.
Shimla Airport (SLV), Kullu-Manali Airport (KUU) and Kangra Airport Dharamshala (DHM) — all connected to Delhi. Chandigarh Airport (IXC, 90 km from Shimla) has wider connectivity. Tour Venture India arranges pickup from all airports.
