Binsar Zero Point – 300 km Himalayan Panorama at 2420 Metres

The Highest Point in Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary with a Sweeping 300 km View of Snow Peaks

About Binsar Zero Point

Zero Point is the highest accessible summit within the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary, situated at 2420 metres above sea level. It is the star attraction of Binsar and one of the finest Himalayan viewpoints in all of Uttarakhand. On a clear day, the panoramic view from Zero Point stretches for an astonishing 300 km, encompassing iconic peaks including Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Trishul, Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot and Panchachuli.

A pleasant 2 km walk through dense deodar and oak forest from the nearest road point leads to the summit. The trail passes through the wildlife sanctuary with good chances of spotting birds and occasionally wildlife. The viewpoint is ideal early in the morning when the air is clear and the peaks catch the first golden light. A small forest rest house near Zero Point allows for overnight stays within the sanctuary.
