Overview
The Daksha Mahadev Temple, commonly known as the Daksha Temple, located 6 miles away from Haridwar. The temple is located in the town of Kankhal and is one of the oldest in Haridwar. Queen Dhankaur built the temple in 1810 AD. The Daksha Temple is more important because it is one of the five holy places in the town of Haridwar in Uttarakhand.
The trip from Haridwar to Kankhal is very beautiful. You can see beautiful views of the Himalayas and the surrounding places while you drive. You can also stop via Birbhadreshwar on your way to Kankhal. King Daksha Prajapati (Sati's father) constructed the temple in his honor.
